2017 Schedule II CrossFit Intramural
February 24, 2017 ,12:00 am - February 27, 2017 ,12:00 am

This event happens once a year and is truly a celebration of our competitive spirit. This is going to be an event to remember! Registration is $30.
The pinnacle weekly event, Friday Night Lights, kicks off February 24th! This event consists of five nights (every Friday for 5 weeks) of local competition, community, food and drink. Registration to the CrossFit Open is NOT required.
What is Friday Night Lights?
Friday Night Lights is Schedule II CrossFit’s community event where all S2CF members come together to celebrate the spirit of competition and camaraderie.
FNL is a 5-week event featuring five nights of local competition where S2CF members show each other what it means to be a part of a community that values participation and camaraderie. Members that have registered for the Intramural will be placed in one of five inhouse teams to participate and compete for 1st place (and a year of bragging rights)!
How does it work?
Starting Friday, February 24th, S2CF members that are registered to participate in The S2CF Intramural will report to Schedule II CrossFit to perform the first of five workouts. Each participant will have been assigned to a team. Teams will earn points that will also determine a team winner to be crowned at the end of the 5- week event Every participant will perform the workout of the day, in assigned heats and will have an assigned judge to ensure adherence to standards. While performing the workouts during our Friday Night Lights event is not required, members who DO join us will be rewarded by the receiving loud cheers from our amazing community! Your goal as a participant is to help your team earn as many points as possible each week to become the 2017 champs! Your registration includes a team t-shirt: Red, Blue, Black, Purple or Grey!
How do we earn points?
Teams will earn points each week for the following:
• 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 points – for every athlete that finishes in the top 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 place in each of the following divisions: Men’s RX, Women’s RX, Men’s Masters, Women’s Masters, Scaled or Teens. You may only place in a single division (ie. Over 40 and win both Men’s RX and Masters, you will only receive credit for the men’s RX win). As such, 30 people will win extra points each week for their team!
• 15 points – goes to the Team that has the most Team Spirit each week
• 5 points – for every athlete that accomplishes the weekly physical challenge
Tell Me More About Teams!
The BIG IDEA behind The Intramural and Friday Night Lights is to make it more about community and camaraderie as opposed to making it a “who’s better than who?” competition.
Once registration has closed, all participants will be placed into a pool of participants and teams will be chosen to ensure balance and awesomeness!
We have chosen 5 AMAZING Captains who’s priority is to make this en event to remember!! The Captains will create a private group to communicate with each team member their strategy to crush the weekly workouts and to earn as many points as possible each week! Captains are as follows:
Mary Connelly – Team Red
Becky Kelly – Team Blue
Kerri Francis – Team Purple
Melissa Hanson – Team Black
Leanne Dudek – Team Grey
What are the divisions?
All participants have a chance at making it to the Top Five in the following divisions:
1. Men’s & Women’s Competitive (WODs as Prescribed)
2. Men’s & Women’s Athletic (Scaled WODs)
3. Men’s & Women’s Masters (ages 40+)
4. Teens
Teams will have a mix of Competitive, Athletic, Masters and Teens Athletes. When any of your teammates place in the Top 5 in any of the divisions above, each teammate will receive extra points for your team “see “How do we earn points” above).
