Officer Hardie Burgin Fundraiser

On Sunday, September 4, 2016, while assisting an EverSource utility crew during emergency repair, Officer Hardie Burgin was struck by a passing car. The resulting injuries nearly took Officer Burgin’s life and will sideline him for the good part of a year. He has a long road ahead of physical therapy to repair two broken shoulders, back, and leg injury. His wife and their three young children are thankful it wasn’t worse. Although he has insurance, surely there will be high co-pays, a large deductible, and significant lost wages during his disability and rehab. It’s our understanding that his wife has been forced to also take a leave from work to manage Hardie’s rehabilitation and their children.
On Noverber 5th, Schedule II CrossFit, assisted by CT Zumba, will be hosting fundraiser workouts for Officer Burgin starting at 8am. Workouts are designed for all skill levels and we encourage EVERYONE in town, new or experienced, to participate. There will be Yoga, CrossFit and Zumba workouts that day, plus additional fundraising opportunities. We ask for a $20 donation that will allow access to all classes offered that day. Come for one class or stay for multiple!! The schedule will be:

11:00 am Zumba
12:00 pm CrossFit
